Police officer's stated grounds "At appropriately 18:25, a call was circulated on the radio that a man had punched a security guard at Tescos and threatened to stab him before running in the direction of Caledonian road.
The caller was described the man as white, around 5:11, wearing tracksuits bottoms and a hoody.
We saw a man matching his description, in a hoody, walking quickly on Caledonian road and believed this could be our suspect.
We also believed he could be carrying a knife and therefore carried out a search under Section 1 PACE."

Police officer's stated grounds "At appropriately 04:00, my colleague and I were uniformed officers out in a marked police vehicle patrolling the Borough of Islington.
As we pulled into Copenhagen street, a white BMW appeared to speed away from our vehicle. When we pulled alongside it at the next junction, the driver avoided any eye contact. We also noticed the back windows were tinted, and likely darker than the legal limit.
The BMW then took a left at the junction at the last moment without indicating. This suggested to me that the car was trying to avoid us so we decided there were now reasonable grounds to stop and have a conversation with the man."
